Güven Çelik has a wide customer portfolio ranging from integrated textile companies, weavers, mesh fabric manufacturers, garment manufacturers to fabric importers.
Starting the production of textile machinery in 1988, Güven Çelik also produces machinery for special purposes with an experienced technical team competing with technology. Koray Kutlu, Confidence Steel Partners said: “ Our adventure of production starting in a small workshop in Bayrampaşa in 1995 has been going on in our own building in Hadımköy” and added: “Our works being started in İstanbul, Çorlu and Çerkezköy, have been expanded to primarily Bursa and to whole Anatolia. We render service in finishing process such as fabric quality control, packaging and automation systems. We are always where the textile is. With the confidence we found in our country, we have gained many new purchasers as we produce high quality products. By joining ITMA Fair and England in 2003, Germany in 2007 and Spain in 2011 together, we have presented all of our innovations to both native textile companies and foreign textile companies. Our company’s works are now heading towards R&D studies. We make our company work in the direction of R&D studies with the project awards we received from especially TUBITAK supported by KOSGEB. Besides this, An industrial area of 7000 square meters has been granted for us within Güven Çelik Makine in Organized Leather Composite Industry Zone in Uşak province of Aegean Region since 2008. We have established a construction on this area. We are manufacturing our standart machinery to sell both in the country and to export to foreign markets in the factory located in Uşak. The aim here is not only to contribute to the employment in Uşak but also to reduce the expenses considering the transportation problem. Now, we perform a more quality manufacture with a team of over 30 people serving in our factory in Uşak.”
FABRICS ARE UNDER CONTROL
Implying that they are challenging in finishing process of the textile industry, Mr. Kutlu stated: “We make the quality control of fabrics. These fabrics are gaining an identity as a result of the control that we have done. All data is processed in the computer environment and the results are stored there. Whenever these fabrics are to dispatch, instant storage movements can be viewed. Computer programmes which are in accordance with the world standards and which make almost no error are applied to our machines.” Highlighting that quality control machines they produced are of great importance for fabric manufacturers: “When there is no machine in a facility and the fabrics are not applied to quality control stage, even if it is dispatched to the remotest part of the world; any reclamation will cause a destruction for that firm. For this reason, the biggest fabric purchasers send their team to where fabrics are exported and do not allow the output of the fabric or do not buy it if they are not applied to a quality control stage. If the fabrics are not applied to quality control process, it is extremely risky.
The quality control machines we produce prevent the errors of the producers which may come up later and minimize the financial loss of the firm. We are all over the world because we perfectly manage the quality and control of not only plain fabrics but also especially all forms of braiding and weaving fabrics without deforming. In other words, we can perform quality and control to every kind of fabrics. The reason why firms prefer us is our quality. Especially the export-oriented firms prefer us because they have to be careful about the quality issues. It should be noted that, we did not easily come at this stage. This is a reason why we give importance to R & D works. The fact that we receive no complain from the firms that buy our machines show that we are on the right track. The importance of quality has started to be seen in our country. We serve the same quality products for all businesses, large and small. We are competing with Italian, German and Swiss companies in terms of quality “he said. Remarking that all R&D studies will be carried out cooperatively within the university by renting an office in Technopark, Çorlu Campus of Tekirdağ Namik Kemal University Tekirdağ, Mr. Kutlu asserted that they aim to offer more error free products to customers with R&D studies and technology. He also emphasized that they perform exports to the four corners of the world and they closely follow the developments especially in such contients as South America and Africa.
