The digital printing solution in textile is provided by Tecpro

Tecpro became in Turkey the Single Distributor of the Textile printers which Epson has developed by working on it meticulously for a long time .

The Tecpro which has been performing the distributorship and acting as the authorized service of the Epson brand wide format photographic printers in our country for years enters the market with the solutions which will satisfy all the requirements of the manufacturers in a dynamic market based on continuous manufacturing such as textile. We talked about that new textile printer and the targets of the Tecpro in the market with the Chief Executive Officer of the Tecpro Ibrahim Ilhan who indicated that it is very important to provide the products which Epson has developed in that area with the advantages of having the same brand from the head structure to the manufacturing firm and to the special textile dyes for the first time together with the services of authorized distributorship and authorized service under the same structure.

What are the works which the Tecpro performs today? What are placed among your lines of business?
“We have a range of products complementing each other in our structure that can provide complete solutions pertaining to the display systems, graphical printing systems, training technologies and the barcode automation systems. Our main objective is to add value to the work together with our experienced sales and technical staff that is specialized in these groups of products. We detect the benefits to be provided by a product rather than that product itself and we develop solutions with alternatives for various sectors by gathering many products together. The Etkivizyon in the display systems, the Backvision in the advertisement and promotion area and the Interactive Smart Class Project in the area of education are among the special projects which the Tecpro has developed. The style of what we can do that can add value to a product and what the difference of the Tecpro will be here is the way of work with which pleases us most. By our works we would like to make the slogan of our company true, which is ‘it adds value to your business’ written under
the logo of our company.”

What are your works for the customer satisfaction in the sense of the technical service and the spare parts of the brands you represent?
“Our greatest strength comes from our structure of the technical services. We have more than 1000 dealers and business partners throughout the country specialized in our lines of business as well as our regional directorates of Istanbul, Ankara and Aegean Region. We give our services of product introduction, sales, installation and after sales by visiting our customers together with our business partners in the product groups in which we work.”

Would you mention about the latest innovation that the Tecpro presented to the market with Epson?
“We are excited to reflect the great superiority of Epson in the printing field to the textile sector. We present as the sole distributor the models of Epson SureColor SC-F6000 and Epson SureColor SC-F7000 which we launched at the Sign Fair in December 2012. The Dye Sublimation Printers have Epson Micro Piezzo printing heads and can make high quality prints at a rate of 16-57 m2/hour with the 720×1440 dpi resolution. With their internal CMYK easy fill 1.5 liter ink system and automatic wrapping roll, they provide uninterrupted production with minimum maintenance. The model of Epson SureColor SC-F6000 having a printing width of 110 cm was developed for the textile producers manufacturing small parts, and the model of Epson SureColor SC-F7000 having a printing width of 162 cm was developed for the repeat prints.”

What kind of solutions will the textile printers provide to the sector?
“We are ending the greatest problem, all the problems of the companies performing digital textile manufacturing in our country with respect to not being able to procure the original manufacturing dye with our institutional sales and service guarantee, with the Epson products and the sales/after sales support services of our firm Tecpro. This cost effective product which we provide to the digital printing manufacturers with the institutional sales, service and brand will facilitate the works of our customers more. Here for the first time a machine under the guarantee of Epson will get its after sales guarantee from the Tecpro which is the authorized service center under the control of the manufacturer. The product will be under the controlled pricing of the distributor and the brand and for the first time a textile ink owned by the brand will be used. The product is from the same brand representative, the after sale services and the services of the product are from the authorized distributor and service, the textile dye of the product is exactly the same with the brand of the product. What does that mean? Just manufacture and wait for the service… When we put all these together, we do not want to start that field with a very modest target. From zero, in the first year of this business, we have a target of Euro 3 million in the textile field, and we may rise above these figures.”

Would you mention about the solutions in the field of digital printing which the Tecpro provided with Epson?
“We have a specialization based on years on the graphical side of Epson. We tried to represent Epson with our personnel from the time where the first and sole distributorship in Turkey was performed till today. We started to get significant market share to the disadvantage of our competitor brands with Epson in 2010. We kept that on in 2011 as well. When the range of the products later was divided into cad and internal-external places, we became the distributor of the products of the internal places and the proofing of Epson. Furthermore, there is a sublimation textile market the development of which we have awaited for years and to the development of which we have contributed. We assumed the sole distributorship of the products for textile which the Epson presents to the market related to that. This will be one of the most preferred lines of business for the Tecpro in the following years. The textile market in Turkey is one of our very dynamic leading sectors, it has an identity of manufacturer who follows the digitalization very closely. At that point one of the most important things in the textile is the 24/7 work structure. We are ready to respond to this structure. The important thing is not that it is the thing that I made, when you present a product to the sector. One must know all the requirements in detail of that sector in that field and must offer the type of solutions which can satisfy those requirements. The solution should not just be the solution of products. Their shipping, their service structure and the logistic of the inks are important as well. We make plans to satisfy all these needs.”

What is the most important characteristic of Epson which differentiate it from the other products in its category?
“Epson is the first company which invented the meaning of print in the world. When the digital photographing was beginning to arise in the 2000s, Epson marked a new era in the ink jet market and that has never been ended. For me, what Epson means is an excellent quality in printing. The main reason why Epson is preferred by the customers is that the ones who seek the quality can find the quality together with the range of the products developed especially for their own sectors. Epson is an excellent brand which the ones who want quality and unproblematic machines must prefer. We have never sold another brand other than that for 20 years and we have never regretted that.”

How does the increase of the number of the companies performing digital printing manufacturing affect the market?
“The stability of the brand is important, we emphasize that. Some brands become very active in a period and then you see that they disappear for two years. Another brand changes frequently its distributors and it cannot take root in the market. Another brand has a distributor, but it is like nothing in the market. Here one must care the permanence, the stability. Here the point which the user should consider is that who represents the brand that he will prefer, how the supply services are provided, and at which level the consumption availability is. I can supply the best brand of the world to you, but when you cannot procure the ink to perform that printing, that does not mean anything to you. Therefore the proliferation of the brands is so normal, certain brands will try that from time to time. I have observed many brands in the printer world of 20 year. When you succeed in staying beside the stream continuously, you can watch the ones passing thereby, and the important brands are the ones which can stay beside the stream.”

How will be the roadmap of the Tecpro from now on?
“Tecpro will keep on performing works with added value from now on. We started our way to perform the things which everyone called difficult. By keeping on performing the difficult, we will continue our works with a performance which is beyond our ability. Our brands know that we perform our works precisely, correctly and with honesty principle. When we keep on doing our business in that way, the customer, the brand and we all will be happy. Tecpro will continue to advance within the framework of these principles.”

Do you have something that you would like to add, a message that you would like to give at the end of our interview?
“In order to follow the technology, one must follow it by getting information from the correct sources. The digitalization is very important in the developing world, but when we think that we obtain information without testing if the point from which we obtain the information is correct sources or not, that is the greatest mistake which can be made. Here I think that in order to support the sector media providing the correct information, more interest must be shown in that type of publications.”
