DEVELOPMENTS IN THE SYNTHETIC CARPET YARN

If we take a look at the world market, we can observe that especially the production of the synthetic carpet yarn has continued at an increasing rate. The parameters of width of the yarns used in the manufacturing of the carpet yarns are within the interval that is continuously growing depending on that production increase and variety. This interval reaches to significant values like 800 to 10,000 dTex for single layer and double layer yarns for especially PP and PA yarns. Especially for thin and terry yarns, decomposition of the yarns in the form of bundles before the winding process without being subject to any physical deformation and ensuring the effect survival of the yarn indirectly are one of the most important issues. Thanks to its patented yarn decomposition system, Örnek Machinery products can overcome this issue easily. On the other hand, in most processes, for especially the widths of 5000 dTex and higher, the number of the yarns is decreased to ensure the process productivity. Especially for the series MD 60 machinery, the total numbers of the yarns that are 48. 60 and 72 were separated into two bands, and the bands were designed in the required sizes depending on the process requirements and thus, it has been made possible to work with full capacity with the yarns up to 8000 dTex without any reduction. There are some possible problems for the manufacturers to fix flatly the yarns with single layer and low thickness. The problems such as yarn spin referred to as bird eye by the manufacturers and the existence of areas not fixed in the yarn referred to as “goose foot” may be counted among the main possibilities. These cases cause defects of appearances on the surface of the carpet, which may be detected by the unaided eye. Against such cases, yarn spins are prevented by the patented top pressing system, and by the patented multi-directional vapor distribution adapted to all machinery, it was ensured that each point of the yarn contacts vapor and the unrolling of winding was prevented. Regarding the shagpile units, in especially the systems working with crimping box and valve mechanism, size deformation problems arise on the box walls based on the heat and pressing problems arise on the valve piston mechanism based on the thermal deformation, and that affects the shagpile effect negatively, which must be uniform for the yarn. These negativities are also prevented by the patented connection part mounted on the shagpile crimping box and the patented piston connection apparatus connected to the valve mechanism. Thanks to the PLEVA® humidity sensor adapted on the series MD 60 machinery, it was ensured to stabilize the balance of humidity in the cabin, and thus, the equilibrium was increased for the fixation of the materials sensitive to humidity especially such as PES and PA. In addition to that, by means of proportional vapor control coupled to that system, the variations in the amount of vapor in the cabin and in the equilibrium of humidity indirectly can be tolerated within milliseconds, and energy saving is ensured additionally.

NEW MACHINERY

Series OMA and OMP machinery which have been included in the range of products of the Örnek Machinery recently draw the intensive attention of the manufacturers manufacturing especially Acrylic and PES. Series OMA machinery work as steaming machine that can work at low degrees of temperature for the manufacturers of Acrylic carpet yarns, and they involve on them most of the mentioned patented systems.
