epsonEpson, innovating company in digital textile printing, For-Tex, leader in dye, thickeners and textile pre- and post-treatment product manufacturing, and the company that is among the leaders in textile printer engineering and production, F.lli Robustelli, presented world preview of two machines at ITMA Milano that are meant to become landmarks and to radically change the textile digital printing market: Monna Lisa Vinci and Monna Lisa Evo Tre. These two cutting-edge solutions are intended for a fast growing market. Monna Lisa Vinci and Monna Lisa Evo Tre, designed by Robustelli based on Epson technology, mark a further step ahead in the extraordinary evolution of printing technologies applied to textile industry. The main features are the enhanced reliability, resulting from the elimination of traditional machine down-times; and the highest flexibility, in order to meet the new design needs thanks to the possibility of using up to 12 colours. Another strength of the new machines are the new TFP Precision Core heads, designed by Epson, that enable improved accuracy in ink jet and a higher quality of printing, irrespective of the number of passages. In addition, the heads lifetime has been estimated up to two years, the longest lifespan available on the market to date. Both machines use Genesta, the water-based inks developed by Epson in cooperation with For. Tex and exclusively created to enable precision and fastness of textile printings. The three companies have been cooperating for 15 years bringing together their expertise and competencies so as to provide the market with a digital textile printing total solution. Their union first became reality in 2003 with the first Monna Lisa®, a production- line digital printer equipped with Epson piezo-electric inkjet technology, that was conceived in order to provide the textile market with the digital tool necessary to jump from a pioneering, sampling phase to reliable industrial production. Over the years, Monna Lisa has evolved: Monna Lisa Evo was launched in 2011, and today we will assist to the launching of the two new machines. The new Total Solution developed by the 3 companies represents today the best answer to production needs, without compromise on quality. Extremely reduced production times, possibility of printing on any fabric and with different designs, low-cost sampling in line with production, high printing quality: all of these features are crucial in meeting the needs of an ever-changing and demanding market, both in the fashion and in the general textile and clothing industries.

Print Your Vision
Print Your Vision is an Epson, For.Tex and F.lli Robustelli project launched to promote digital textile printing. The final stage of the project is presented during ITMA, the world’s largest exhibition of textile machinery. The project involved the collaboration of four young designers, who were asked to reinterpret designs preserved in the archives of the Textile Museum – part of the Fondazione Antonio Ratti in Como – through the infinite possibilities of the MonnaLisa® digital printer and the Genesta inks. The three companies’ stand has been decorated for the occasion with beautiful tapestries depicting the four designer’s final creations. Visitors can learn about the latest developments in technology and see how textile tradition can be revisited by the creativity of the designers and revitalized with the help of the three partners’ digital printers. Print Your Vision coordinator Matteo Augello is a fashion and popular culture historian who selected the designers. Vital to the Print Your Vision project was the support received from the Fondazione Antonio Ratti which opened the MuST (Museo Studio del Tessuto) archives to the designers. The MuST collection has more than 3300 single textile artefacts, and more than 2500 sample books that illustrate the textile history from the third to the twentieth century. Since 2007, the collection has been recognized as being of “exceptional interest” by the Italian State and subject to legal protection.
