Texworld Istanbul was once again in the focus of the textile industries

04With its second edition, Texworld Istanbul has proven itself to be an international platform for the presentation of novelties throughout the sector. Istanbul is clearly a sourcing hub right between Asia and Europe.

The second edition of Texworld Istanbul was once again in the focus of the textile industries with a fully booked show floor and more than 3000 qualified visitors. The event featured 112 exhibitors from 12 different countries. China, Turkey, Taiwan, Korea, India and Hong Kong were among the exhibiting countries followed by Pakistan, Germany, Dubai, Egypt, Bangladesh and Indonesia. “With Texworld Istanbul, Messe Frankfurt has strengthen its position as the worldwide leader in textile and apparel fabrics fairs. It’s important for us to be present in the core markets of the industry and to have the best solutions for our customers. For this reason, we’re planning to enlarge our business in Turkey.” says Olaf Schmidt, Vice President Textiles & Textile Technologies. Visitors had the advantage of finding all product groups that are part of Messe Frankfurt’s apparel fabric brand events around the world including cotton, denim, embroidery & lace, fibers & yarns, functional fabrics, knitted fabrics, linen & hemp, prints, shawls & scarfs, silk & silky aspects, trims & accessories and wool & wool blends. During Texworld Istanbul, visitors took the opportunity to explore the Trend Forum which had been designed by Texworld’s Art Directors Louis Gérin & Grégory Lamaud. The Trend Forum put on display selected fabrics and accessories from participating exhibitors. The trade fair was held at the Lütfi Kırdar International Convention and Exhibition Center in Istanbul, 07-09 April, 2015. “With its second edition, Texworld Istanbul has proven itself to be an international platform for the presentation of novelties throughout the sector. Istanbul is clearly a sourcing hub right between Asia and Europe and Texworld Istanbul has underlined that it has already become the right order platform for the whole region.” says Tayfun Yardım, Managing Director, Messe Frankfurt Istanbul. Around %81 percent of the visitors came from Turkey and the remaining from the surrounding regions. Leading fashion brands such as Mudo, Marks&Spencer, LC Waikiki and Penti attended the fair. During the opening ceremony, Mr. Fikri Kurt, President of ÖRSAD (Knitting Industrialists Association); Mr. İlker Karataş, President of OTIAD (Osmanbey Textile Businessmen Association) and Mr. İbrahim Uzunoğlu, Vice President of DENIB (Denizli Exporters’ Association) underlined their continuous support for Texworld Istanbul.
