Importing 80 percent of its production, Serteks reached a market share of 55 percent in Uzbekistan. The company, adding new machines to its product range in the year 2012, will put a new product into the service of users.
SERTEKS , established in 1992, began to manufacture machinery beginning from 1996 in the sector where it started the commercial activities with the production of all the spare parts of textile and finishing machines. Among the machines which are in the product range of Serteks, there are Tube Compacting Machine for knitted fabrics, Chained Open Width Compactor Machine, Open Width Compactor Machine, Blanket Chained Open Width Compactor Machine, Tube and Open Humidity Gauge Hydration Machine. Having ISO9001:2008 quality certificate, Serteks speedily continues to its R & D studies with KOSGEB and TUBITAK. ‘SERTEKS’ made its name an acknowledged brand with foreign and domestic products. The company, following the innovations in technology and serving its products for use at the highest level, also provide service in technical office, developing R&D product design, projecting, serial production and custom production in addition to production.
QUALITY INCREASES COMPETITION
Emphasizing that the machinery manufacturers in Turkey began conscious studies, Cevat Karaoren, Founder of Serteks Tekstil Makinaları stated:“ Machinery manufacturers now carry out their production with the latest technology machinery. The sense “I produced, sold and that’s all” has come to an end for the manufacturer who is aware that if the quality is low, it will negatively effect the national economy. Everbody is attentive to their work; therefore, all manufacturers try to produce and market better ones. As machinery manufacturers, we become concerned when we see European machines in native users. So we try to produce machines better than those of Europe’s. This situation encourage us to search for the best all the time.”
30 PERCENT OF PERFORMANCE INCREASE WITH THE NEW MACHINE
Karagören stated that as Serteks, they began to produce new machines and mentioning about the studies, she said: “The new machines are running in higher engine speed. We increased certain versions of machines. These new machines, which we started to produce with our own R & D investments, enable users to increase their efficiency with at least 30 percent of performance increase. As a result, effects and touching of open width fabrics began to come up better. Moreover, we also began to produce Blanket Sanfor Machine. One of the important features of Blanket Sanfor Machine is that it provides good outcomes in different fabrics as it can print on the fabric with a very high press. Our machines are now in-service and the users are extremely satisfied. Besides, we continue to work on another machine which we plan to put into the market in 2014. However, we prefer not to give detail now. By acting extremely careful in the production stage of our machines, we try to produce error free machines. Therefore, the error rate in our machines are comparatively low. We see the errors in the production stage and make them available with zero error so that we won’t have problems with customers. Thus, our customers do not complain. Apart from all these, when demanded by the customers, we get through to them in the shortest time as transportation is much easier now.”
OUR EXPORTS SURPASSED THE OCEAN
Stating that they, as a company, export 80 per cent of their production, Cevat Karagoren: “While we are exporting 80 per cent of their production, we release the 55 percent to domestic market. One of our largest market is Uzbekistan, where we have a market share of 55 per cent. It is honorable for our machines which are fully domestic products to be a market leader of another country. We perform our exports to every part of the world including Egypt, India, England, Iran and various European countries. We make a large number of our sales in foreign markets because now there is not new investments in Turkey that much. When you produce machines meeting the demands of people, your machinery sales substantially increases. Blanket Sanfor Machine we produce is an example. This machine completely meets the demands of producers and they prefer to buy it.”
