ITM TEXPO EURASIA 2013 International Textile Machinery Fair that was conducted under the cooperation of Technical Fair Organization and Tuyap and with the support of Temsad (Textile Machinery and Accessories Industrialists Association) at Tuyap Convention Center on the dates of 29 May- 1 June 2013 turned out to be a very successful organization on behalf of the sector by bringing many national and foreign companies together in terms of presenting the innovations realized especially in the field of textile to both national and foreign companies.
One of the most important reasons that made us attend the fair was to present our new test devices of which the R&D studies completed and we incorporated into our product portfolio to the sector. Thanks to these devices, the companies engaging in the business of manufacturing textile materials find an opportunity to carry out the quality controls of the raw materials to be purchased and of the manufactured goods before shipment efficiently. Our company being a member of TEMSAD has the chance of following the technological developments of machinery and the relevant sectors inland and abroad and reflecting these to the sector. Many of our products which are released to the market by designing special machines in scope of University-Industrialists cooperation finding approval at the fair filled us with pride. The importance of Turkish domestic machinery manufacturers in the world market is growing day by day and I am of the opinion that we will maintain our position being a solution partner in many serious projects thanks to the quality and after sales services of these manufacturers. We have to place the necessary emphasis to our R&D and innovation studies. Yet , quality machinery with true and reliable test results will enable the firms to carry out quality production. Therefore, the models exhibited at the fair have the quality to meet the requirements of these firms. We had a chance to introduce our world class devices appealing to the yarn and fabric sector to national and foreign companies. As the fair has an international scope, we were able to see and compare the state-of-art technologies in the sector. The visitors who attended the fair were really interested and there was an appropriate visitor profile. For the fair to reach its goal, Chambers of Commerce and Industry with the affiliated societies and associations made great contributions by providing means of transportation from many different provinces. There were also visitors coming from Iran, Pakistan, India, Egypt and Russia. We have restored trust by finding a chance of seeing our existing customers as well as creating new markets. Maybe the number of visitors was not much but there were visitors having a sound grasp of the subject.
I think that to increase the number of visitors for the following years, it is necessary to take some actions. If we are to evaluate the fair in general, there were companies stating that the fair was insufficient in terms of satisfying their expectations as well as the ones stating the other way around. I believe that mutual idea exchanges should be attached importance to eliminate the problems for the years to come. I can say that the fair was efficient on behalf of my company. It could be better but as I said before, I am of the opinion that these imperfections will be compansated at the future fairs to be held.
