Akbaş Plastik being the sole firm in Turkey that possesses around 700 molds and produces over 2000 range of products, is continuing to supply the best product at a fair price to its customers thanks the economical price policy it has adopted. Among the plastic producers in Turkey, Akbaş Plastik is the sole manufacturer of cone winders, ring weft bobbins, flyer bobbins, dye tubes, folding spools, also it is the first firm in Turkey to have produced continues to be the producer of the multiple bobbin molds. When a plastic company in Turkey withdrew from the market, there was a big gap in the market said General Manager of Akbaş Plastik, Alpay Akbaş , and continued: “ İnelli Plastik, one of the major firms of our industry, was forced to withdraw from the market due to the fact that it could no longer compete against costs. İnelli used to supply products to a large part of Turkey as well as exported to foreign countries. Those companies, who used to work with İnelli Plastik, turned to other firms who would meet their requirements. Since the said company had not geared towards innovation the process had thus begun. We obtained the significant Molds that were appropriate to today’s technology. Upon having examined the said Molds, we realized that our molds were no different from the Italian molds and that ours were even more advanced in comparison. As the aforementioned company had not increased its range of products it downsized. Whereas our firm is working with a large range of products, we transform the material we receive from the customers into molds and make new investments. When a customer comes to us, he obtains what he demands and does not feel the need to go to other firms. This is because we have the required range and production capacity to be able to meet all ranges and demands from customers” he said.
Wide Range Of Products
Akbaş underlined the fact that in order to provide the best services to customers it is indispensable not to lose profit, he said: “When a firm prefers to work with a certain company there are different reasons involved here. These reasons are namely, good quality, on time delivery, whether that company previously produced the relevant product or not, whether that company delivered the product without any distortions or not and so on. One of our most significant principles is to always meet the requirements of the customers by not having to inform them that the product they need is not available. For the most part we are capable of finding solutions in accordance to the demands made by the customers. Moreover, thanks to our boutique production, we are meeting the demands of our customers. At the moment we are the sole firm that has the most range of products available. Customers’ orders are pouring in. Our capacity is fully operational. The number of molds and machines are in sufficient quantities at this moment. In case of need, we shall begin to make investment in new machines. We have 2000 range of products at hand. We have around 700 molds available. Bobbins vary according to the type and range of yarn. The diversity of plastics utilized in the textile industry depends on the molds available within our structure. As a result at the end of the day the business depends on the available molds. Providing that you have sufficient number of good quality molds at hand then you may manufacture all the required products and meet the demands pouring in. On the contrary, you shall not be able to meet the all the demands made. Bu If you wish to be continuously active in this industry, it is imperative that you keep renewing your molds. I know for a fact that I am producing better bobbins compared to those in Europe and I am assertive in this regard. The expected life of the bobbins varies according to usage. Our customers may use our bobbins on an average for 10 years minimum. At the present time we are exports rate is 30%. We are planning to increase this up to 50-60%. Our firm is purchasing good quality raw material and thereby producing good quality products. Our priority is our customer satisfaction. A satisfied customer renders both sides are happy and thereby cooperation continues. Not all of the products have to be of first quality. Customer satisfaction in terms of second quality products is also important” he said. Akbaş, gave us more information regarding to the new projects, he said that the available production plants are no longer appropriate for plastic manufacturing and that they are planning to build a modern production plant as soon as possible. Akbaş stated that their goal is to establish a production plant endowed with social possibilities and creation of comfortable work environment whereby people shall want to go to work with pleasure.
