One of the most expensive stand selling was performed with the six times more than the normal prices with the auction method for ‘ Linexpo Istanbul Underwear Fashion Days ’.
Linexpo Istanbul Underwear Fashion Days which will bring the companies of the most important underwear, bed and beach wears of Turkey and the suppliers of these products and accessories together, was organized by All Underwear Industrialists Association (TIGSAD), will be performed in Fair Center in Istanbul (IFM) between 11- 13 February 2016. It has been specified that the stands were hired with the six times more than the normal prices in the auction which was held on for the 5 biggest and the most important stand areas of the activity. It has been expressed that the roadshows for 52 countries will be organized and a procurement committee will be there. There will also be an introduction work which will be organized within the scope of this activity. Eşref Geyik, the executive vice president of TIGSAD, said those about the activity by expressing that they, as TIGSAD, are planning to bring a procurement committee by organizing the overseas trips to 52 countries in order to meet the expectations of the participant companies on the upper level: ‘Our 131 companies will participate in our activity which we will organize in an area over 10.000 m2. Some of those stands were hired with the six times more than the normal prices in the auctions which were held on November. We were very sure about the interest on our activity that will be shown by the industry but it became a pleasant surprise to us.’’
3rd TIGSAD UNDERWEAR DESIGN COMPETITION 2016 ‘TRAVEL IN TIME’
To increase the share of the Turkish underwear industry in the world market and enter into rivalry with the global brands will be possible by having a strong design infrastructure and producing value added products. The 3rd one of the underwear design competition in this year will be organized to bring the unique designers of our country that we need during the branding process in the international arena with the underwear industry together, bring the young talents to the industry and in order to direct our underwear industry to the target of success which is design oriented. The work of the competition that will end with the final show and award ceremony in Friday night on 12 February 2015, started. It will be performed with the institutions, universities, education institutions, members of the underwear industry that we are attached to, in the presence of the public. We already now would like to thank everybody who will make a contribution to this activity that we find very important for underwear in Turkey on behalf of our industry.
