Porima opens to Europe and the Middle East after the USA

Porima, which was supported by Aksa Akrilik and ITU Arı Teknokent, is expanding its export market. The company, producing three-dimensional printer filament in Yalova, started to export to Europe and the Middle East after the USA. Serhat Oran, Porima Founding Partner and CEO, said that they aim to make domestically produced filaments available all over the world.

The Porima initiative, which Aksa Akrilik, the world’s leading acrylic fiber producer, and ITU Arı Teknokent supported, raised the level in exports. The company, which has been producing three-dimensional printer filament in Yalova since 2018, started to export to Europe and the Middle East after the USA, which is the world’s largest market in this field. Thermoplastic semi-finished products will be exported from Yalova to America, Switzerland, England, Israel, Palestine, Azerbaijan and TRNC thanks to Porima, which was founded by two young engineers, Serhat Oran and Kadri Karadeniz.

It increases production capacity 2 times

Porima Founding Partner and CEO Serhat Oran stated that they aim to export domestically produced filaments to the entire global market. Oran, in this context, mentioned the importance of new dealership agreements in America, England and Azerbaijan, said “Thanks to our new collaborations in 2022, we plan to reach serious scales in exports in the next period. It is proud to start exporting to big markets such as Europe and the Middle East after America. We have a 40 percent dominance in the domestic market. We aim to be one of the strong players in the world filament market by doubling our capacity while contributing to the reduction of foreign dependency with our domestic production.”

Cengiz Taş, Board Member and General Manager of Aksa Akrilik, congratulated Porima for its new achievements in exports. Taş, stating that they support initiatives that develop innovative and sustainable technologies such as Porima within the scope of the Value for Entrepreneurship project, said “Porima is the company that we made the first investment within our project. We are happy to contribute to such a valuable and successful start-up that starts the domestic cartridge era in 3D printers and exports to markets such as the USA, Europe and the Middle East. As Aksa Akrilik, we will continue to offer financial support and mentorship to young entrepreneurs.”
