Founded in 2000 with the spinning facility, Zümrüt Tekstil is serving its customers as an integrated company with the added knitting facility in 2006 and dyeing facility in 2011.
The company produces cotton, cotton modal, tencel, wool, silk, linen blends and the fabrics involving OP, vortex, ring viskon and viscose LYCRA® fiber. Drawing attention with the raw materials that the company used in production and with the fabrics that it launched into the market, our questions regarding their field of service were answered by the owner of Zümrüt Tekstil, Naci Toplu.
Could you please assess the year 2013 both for the company and the industry? What are your targets and previews for 2014?
“We moved our quality and our position in the market forward in 2013. We increased our recognition in exports with our brand Bonisa. We continued on growing, improving, and investing with strong baby steps. We are planning to add our printing facility into our organization in 2014. ”
Could you please give some information regarding the new collection and innovations in Zümrüt Tekstil? What is the direction of fabric trends?
“Zümrüt Tekstil is mostly known as viscose fabric producer. We are good at viscose quality being one of the industry leaders. But we are not only viscose producers, we are close followers of fashion in special quality developed in the direction of customer demands with different blends and constructions. Nowadays, the coarse gauge knits with tricot appearance, and blends with linens, viscose, cotton, silk, wool are popular and low weight qualities and organic qualities from tencel and bambu modal blends are among the most important trends that draw attention.
As a result of collaboration with Invista, what are contributions of Invista on your products?
“We continue to work with Invista ad use LYCRA® fiber in both technical and innovational perspective. This provides quality in production and makes many positive contributions on marketing. Our target is presenting always the best quality to apparel producers in cooperation with LYCRA®. We are providing both cost and quality advantages by decreasing the variations in fabric width and fabric weight ”
Raw materials are needed to produce fabrics. These raw materials are obtained from both natural and synthetics fibers. What are the criteria and the reasons for choosing the raw materials for your products?
“First quality fiber, chemicals and dyeing materials are used in our products. We are providing our materials always from the same suppliers so that fiber quality does not change. Besides, we work with the big and important brands as suppliers for supplying chemical and dyeing materials without considering the cost. That’s why, our customers know that they would obtain the same quality when they work with Zümrüt Tekstil. ”
What are the values that you put on the fabric ? (In terms of both the added value and human health)
“Zümrüt Tekstil has proven itself in both domestic and foreign markets in terms of quality standards in yarn production. This established trust were maintained and even further improved for raw material and dyed fabrics. Besides our Standard viscose production, we presented environmentally and skin friendly fabrics with fiber blends from organic cotton, cotton-modal, modal, tencel, silk and bambu to meet our customers’ requirements and admiration. We can state that the demand for tencel and cotton modal blends increased significantly.”
What are the opinions and your studies regarding the sustainability, environmentally friendliness and healthiness ?
“Our yarn facility, knitting facility and dyehouse are all organically certificated. Organic production and environmentally friendliness is an important topic. We are trying to meet the demands as much as possible.”
