There was a great interest for the Texworld Istanbul fair held for the first time in Turkey in Istanbul Lütfi Kırdar International Convention and Exhibition Center in 4 – 6 November 2014.
There were 115 participants in the fields of ready-made fabrics and accessories from 10 countries, which are leading textile producers, in the organization. The second Texworld Istanbul fair will be held in the heart of the city of Istanbul in 7 – 9 April 2015, again in the same area. There is already a high request of participation for the fair and the interests coming from the neighboring countries continue. General Director of Messe Franfurt Istanbul Tayfun Yıldırım said: “Following the Texworld Paris and Texworld New York, the new member of this strong international brand became Texworld Istanbul. In the first Texworld Istanbul, there came 115 international participants from a total of 10 countries including China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Pakistan, South Korea, Taiwan and Turkey. We are moving the production base for international ready-made fabrics and accessories into Turkey through Texworld Istanbul”. Texworld Istanbul involves all the product groups that were exhibited worldwide towards ready-made fabrics by Messe Frankfurt. The participants predominantly exhibit cotton, lace-borde, knit fabric, shirt fabric, wool and wool-mixed fabrics, silk and silk-like fabrics, functional fabrics, linen hemp, press, design offices, accessory, yarn fiber and denim products. Thanks to this, Texworld Istanbul participants reflect the ready-made fabrics and accessories market.
TARGET COUNTRIES
Texworld Istanbul brings together all the sector professionals and purchasing agents including the ready-made garment producers, private label producers, retailers and wholesalers, mail order companies, chain stores, designer and fashion designers, purchase offices and agencies.
Texworld Istanbul is targeting professional visitors and purchasing agents coming from big markets such as Turkey, Middle Eastern and Gulf countries, Eastern Europe, Middle Asia, Russia, Middle Europe and North Africa. General Director of Messe Frankfurt İstanbul Tayfun Yardım talked about his view on this subject: “Due to its geographical position, Istanbul is in the most suitable location for all the important trade centers in the region, and therefore it will become a new meeting point for the global ready-made fabric producers and purchasing agents from the fast developing regions”. The central position of Istanbul situated between Eastern Europe, Middle Asia, Middle East and North Africa increases the importance of Texworld Istanbul. The advantage of visiting Turkey without a visa requirement for many countries, contribute to the success of Teworld Istanbul, which has a big potential for Turkey and the ready-made garment production of the region.
MORE THAN 100 PARTICIPANTS
In Texworld Istanbul, which will be held in 7 – 9 April, participating companies will be exhibiting their new Spring – Summer collections prepared for the year 2016. Among the participating countries that will be present in the second Texworld Istanbul fair are China, Egypt, Hong Kong, Germany, India, Indonesia, Korea, Pakistan, Taiwan and Turkey. There are new participating companies in the fair which are coming from Turkey, China and Taiwan. As was the case in the first Texworld Istanbul, China and Taiwan is participating with the country pavilions.
