President of the Machinery Exporters Association Adnan Dalgakıran: “Profit margins are high in the US market”

abd-pazariPresident of the Machinery Exporters Association and Machinery Promotion Group, Adnan Dalgakıran, stating that machinery exporters have to watch the US market carefully, said that “this is a very big market, it has many encouragements and high profit margins”.

Addressing the representatives of the professional organizations, in the field of Machinery industry, and the members of the association at “the Informative Meeting on the US Market”, organized in İstanbul by the Machinery Promotion Group, Dalgakıran emphasized that the developments around the world increased the importance of the US market. Remarking that it is difficult for us to make export to many big markets around the world such as China, India and Brazil due to the preemptive measurements, President of the Machinery Promotion Group Adnan Dalgakıran said: “When we put aside these markets, which constitute the half of the world-wide production, in this way, we have to look at the other half. As our foreign trade relations with our neighbors, with whom we can develop our export in the fastest manner, also became unpredictable due to the regional developments, only the US and Europe markets are left”.

“Machinery cannot be sold with the methods of retail business”
Talking about his opinions about how export should be considered, Dalgakıran stated that export is a result and Turkey’s machinery manufacturers must trust in the quality and the standardization of the product to achieve this result. Dalgakıran said: “If we are manufacturing the correct product, every market is a good market for us. We must know our rivals very well. We cannot sell a product by saying that we are selling cheaper. While we are selling our product, we must know how much energy it consumes and how we will solve a service problem in case of a malfunction. Without solving these issues, we must not try to sell machinery with the methods of retail business”. Adnan Dalgakıran, underlining that the machinery industry must be successful, if Turkey will be successful, concluded his speech by these words “We must change the way of our thinking to make the machinery industry successful, by putting the unearned income economy aside, we must arise a willing in our people to work in the industry. We must reorganize the education system and create the correct human resource”. The meeting, the first of which was organized under the title of “Accessing into the US Market” in 2015, attracted the attention of the participant companies, in this year, as well. At the meeting, the experts of the subject and the experienced companies, attending from Turkey and the US, made presentations about the US market, the access methods, the legal issues and procedures in the US, as well as the US standards.
